Got Hospital MC to Cover My Camp Absence = Not AWOL, Right?

I suffer from pnuemonia during the last week of my BMT, Hence i was sent to local hospital straight after the MO said that i had pnuemonia. Back then in tekong, i was given ATT C for 3 days. but the MC the hospital gave me was until 12th jan since the day i admit to hospital.

Last friday i got my posting but my MC was extend from 12th jan to 19th jan. so i call back BMT school (not the HQ) and the person who answered my call, ask me to call to my new unit and i did. The person (new unit) who answered my call was a 3rd sgt. so i tell him my situation and he ask me to report on 20th jan. so do i consider AWOL? because on monday i did not went back to the new unit and endorse my MC.

no,just goto unit tell the person in charge u got mc and extended.

then they will advice u to goto medical centre to have your civilian mc endorsed by your unit's medical office,then u will go back to unit and hand this mc endorsed by mo.ask the unit in charge 3sg if u can rest till mc is over n goto unit,normally they will wait for u to recover after u tell them your mc and then they will ask u to goto medical centre to have civilian mc endorsed by mo.

the mc is highest order around now.since u are sick ,u cant be running around or u might die.so listen to your new units 3sg orders.as long as u have proof as in the mc and have informed the unit on your medical condition.

Your MC is still valid since it was extended. Simply report to your new unit come 20 Jan and get your MC endorsed.

mc means stay at home, and you are not supposed to be running about here and there, even to camp.

you mc only have to be endorsed the day you report back for duty.

And lastly, don't worry. if you really awol, there will be people knocking on your door.

Since you had already called the Ops Room, you already did your part. Just follow that 3SG's instructions to the letter, and you shouldn't get into trouble.

Just make sure that you bring along the MC when you report to your unit, and get it endorsed as soon as possible.

since the 3rd sgt say u can report on 20th.. then report on 20th lor..

in the past my unit requires us to go back and endorse the mc if more than 3 days though..

Even if you were somehow in the wrong I don't think they should punish you.

Just report after 20 Jan. Although you might be have problem with your belongings. Cose I think it is still in BMTC?

What is AWOL? Absent without leave.Heh it is SAF who sent you to the hospital, and later u got the MC for it, so why AWOL even cross your mind?

You should be thinking of downgrading ... cose some people develop chronic bronchitis after having pnueomia. Beside pnueomia is also infectious, transmitted by air.Dont go and visit people during Chinese New Year!.
