I remember the 1st day enlisted... blur like .....
after the numerous admin issues, by late afternoon, everyone
fall-in to OC speech...
Imagine a blur guy in late teens seating there waiting for
speech.. The OC first message had been drilled to my head...
1st message given was, obey all instructions, regardless right
or wrong... do it first then complain, if complain first and dont
do, will be charge.. when cpl ask you to jump, you can only ask,
how high cpl?
2nd message was, dont expect beauty sleep.. OC say, research
shows a soldier only require 4 hrs of sleep to remain active, and
min of 2hrs sleep in operation environment.....
He do live by his words, a verage recruit taining day will end
around 12 or 1am and wake up at 5.30am.... 6 days a week.....
