I received a official call up notification towards the end of october, but it is still within my first 3 months of new job probation.

Am I allowed to email Mindef/my unit to notify them early of my status to push it back?

My director say company can write letter? Is that true?

Have anybody written or seen this kind of letter?

Q24. Can NSman apply for deferment if he is newly employed?

NSman may be deferred from ICT if he satisfies all the following guidelines:

a. He has started on a new job less than 3 months before his national service call-up
b. His employer requests for the deferment
c. His national service call-up is more than 7 days' duration.
