Hi, i am interested to sign on as a saf regular, hope to get
into guard as specs.I would like to know what is the % of my chance
as i am a female and going 24 when i start my training. I am very
much the outdoor type and prefer to chiong alot, combat area.
I am currently serving under one of the MHA agency but due to
the work environment, i have got quite some MC, but this is purely
due to the job. I have asked for transfer but disallowed. So i was
wondering if this will affect my chances of signing on?
P.S: I always wanted to sign on to SAF but i also wanted to give
a try to this agency in MHA so i decided to try it first before
joining SAF but who knows, i got posted to the job scope that i
didn't opt for and worst, making me sick.
Really need some advice on all these. Thanks so much in

The odds of you getting into Guards is VERY low.
The number of female specs/officers in Guards/Commandos can be
literally counted with two hands.
Thus, even if you join SAF, odds are you will be posted to
somewhere which you will not like (just as your scenario in MHA
now).
I can't say whether your current job will affect your
application chances, but you may want to call up and inquire if you
really badly want to join guards.
