If anyone here watches Top Gear, there is a race through London with 4 modes of transport. Namely, A Mercedese GL500, a carbon fibre bike, public transport (...

is it just me or are there very few evo x in singapore? this might be hard to believe, but i still havent seen a single one on the road yet...and its already been out for almost a month. and somemore i drive around quite often, and in the last 3 weeks i've seen a lamborghini murcielago, two rolls royce, a number of ferraris and porsches but no evo x at all. is it really that rare or isit cos im very unlucky not to see them? Laughing have you guys seen evo x on the road yet?

kenn3th SG

Opc? that explains why

Y_Shun SG

they say its unsafe...what you said is true...

i see lesser mistubishi cars, more nissan etc...

wonderamazement SG

Hard to tell the difference leh… The Lancer EX and the Evo X… Any distinct difference?

a-Lost-9uY SG

no..
Proton Saga is rare in SG le Laughing

krakenn111 SG

easiest way to tell the difference is the number plate at the front..evo x is the side while lancer ex one is in the middle. so no matter how those lancer ex pple mod their car to look like evo, in the end just look at the no. plate can tell liao.

i've only seen evo x in the showrooms, haven't actually seen one on the road yet..maybe its cos their clientele usually made up of bengs, but those bengs prefer to drive the 30k cheaper (and similar performance) wrx. probably thats also the reason why wrx is so common nowadays, like everywhere can see.

HolySniper SG

eh number plate position can be changed easily leh.. Laughing

btwn evo x and evo9, i will take evo9 anytime.. Cool

wonderamazement SG

Same here. Cool

krakenn111 SG

really ar? whats so bad abt the evo x? havent had any opportunity to drive any evo version..but frm the specs on the internet they are abt the same right. eg. torque, power, 0-100, top speed…

vertmonyet SG

my house there have. farrer park swimming pool. he first got wrx which sounded like gallardo, then the newer wrx then now evo x. his 2nd wrx few months only.

and seen sg registered saga ytd lol. i know there's a yellow kancil one sg registered around.

alleggerita SG

If the Evo IX's handling is scalpel sharp, the Evo X's handling is even sharper I think..and it clings on to the road like a leech! Laughing

rallykid SG

Saw a white Evo X. Not same as Lancer Ex. Evo X got twin pipes and spoiler and fender got aero like wide bodykit like tat. Shocked

vertmonyet SG

can tell difference. examine at a glance, diffuser exhaust rims front grills etc.

sLeEpWaLkErInG SG

friend got one evo x.. haven really feel the full power cos recently just went for servicing after that millage

Actually easiest way to differentiate the EX from X is the front. Between the bumper and hood. If its black in colour, then it’s X if its the base colour of the car, then its EX.

Have seen a white one, base model heading towards Tampines Mall. Agree I find it a bit unusual not to see more on the roads since they have been selling like hotcakes at the parallel importers - have been looking out for them too since I drive a X myself. I suppose we will see more of them once the chaps who buy from C & C pick up their cars next year and when the SST model comes to Singapore.

Interestingly I saw a white Lancer EX along the ECP towards Changi Airport today that was modded to look like a X...back is EX Lancer style, but the front had been changed, centre white piece was gone, and the plate no had been moved to the side...think you can get the X bodykit for $650+

Shocked

Oxide SG

my neighbour used to own it.SCZ plate. Now changed to Hafei Lobo Laughing

dennisc SG

Lancer EX's fuel cover is round
Evo X fuel cover is square

Evo X's bodykit got some contour like widebody
Lancer EX bodykit is more flat

Evo X bonnet's top got the air-inlet (similar function as WRX's air scoop)

Garage R SG

i tot i saw 1 last night..but that bloody lancer added that black sticker on the front..wannabes.. Confused

silver fish SG

agree. wrx is much more cheaper. infact alot. 30k can mod their wrx lik siao. so who will go choose evo x? Laughing but rmb, evo is the onli rally car, computerize. is a monster! but too bad, this version X lose to a JDM honda civic type R. wat a dissapointed. it came 2nd. Crying or Very sad but don say abt wrx, nv race lose liao. youtube alot. xD
