No Reservist Unit Yet: Wait to be Assigned OR Call Them 1st?

hi all,

I would like to check with you guys on some enquiry.

I ORD dec'09 as a clerk and my pes status is C9L3.

and i have not been assigned to an unit yet. but most of my friends that are the same pes status with me have been called up for reservist already.

and i know of a clerk that got posted to be a driver after he ord.but i was a driver b4 i revocated to clerk.

so i would like to check whether what are the possibilities of the vocation and unit that i will kanna?

why worry, got a friend waited more than 10 years than today i heard he finally kenna reservist.

yeahh..and nw..i just got to know that i am in this 481ASU..can advise me on what kind of unit is that??

i dunno, but i guess it's not your regular combat formations like infantry(prefix SIR XXX) or armor(prefix SAR XXX) or combat engineers(prefix SCE XXX), where all have Singapore(S) for the first one. Most likely to be a very specialised kind of unit.

ohh..but what i know is they have vehicles like v200 nia..thn the camp is at clementi. i still don know my vocation though.

You dont have to call them.

They will give u a surprise sms asking you to go for reservist one day, with vague details given.

I ord-ed in july 08.. got a sms asking me to go reservist this july... and i didnt know i have a unit. -_-" Previously they told me i was in NSHRC holding list.. now out of the blue i have a unit and got called up to go for 5 days reservist.
