Don't Waste Time: Early Enlist Right After Poly Graduation ?

Jong2007 SG

Hi, Is there anyway i can enlist to ns right after graduation?

I am currently in my third year studying in temasek polytechnic. I will be graduating in Early september next year. As most people are from the april intake for poly. I am from the October intake which is why i will be only graduating on September next year

Is there anyway i can cancel my deferment so that i can be enlist earlier because according to mindef i will only be graduating in nov 2011 but i hope by cancelling my deferment they will enlist me like lets say Oct 2011.

I know most of u will say unless ns is my father own one than it is possible. but because i have wasted enough time already btw i will be 22 next year. If mindef delay my enlistment i will be like 23 when i go ns.

anyone of you are poly graduates from poly oct intake and enlist after graduation? Sorry for the long post. Thanks.

Actually, you should call up CMPB and ask them if it is possible. They will give you the best answer.

If it is not possible, you can take the time to look for a part time job.

You can only call CMPB @ 1800-3676767 to ask the customer service officer to help.

Please don't use the word 'cancellation of deferment'.
If you say this to the officer on the phone call, he/ she will take it that you are dropping out of poly as a poly-halfway-dropout case as enlist you right now asap.

Just tell them that you just want to apply for early enlist in the Oct 2011 batch.
But let us tell you that it is a request, so which means it is subject to approval of CMPB, since this is a common repeated scenario every single year where people keep calling CMPB to ask them to schedule for early enlistment, as it's subject to vacancies (if any) for the month's BMT batch.

Anyway, the typical enlistment of 1 or 2 months after graduation is very common. It doesn't make much a difference as most guys will just find a part-time or temporary job to do.

April intake for poly grads = monointake into NDU or Hendon camp aka Red Berets.

For Tekong, April batch is mostly a very late intake for JC students, most likely is for ITE grads.

You just write courteously to CMPB to have you enlist into the very first batch.

To do this, you have to book your PES review (medical checkup) to the very first month and do get Pes D(Temp Pes) then they can enlist u on april.

Try get Pes A, then they can put u anywhere and let u go through any type of training.

April should not be a problem by then. All the best.

Call them up, tell them that you want to enlist in that batch, and ask them if you can do so.

Is it possible to tell them during my medical check up? or after my medical check up after confirming my pes status than i give them a call? thanks

Immediately after getting your final PES on the spot at the CMPB medical checkup, you can speak to the Customer Service Officer right there at CMPB.
