Reconnaisse, in USA known as "Recon", in UK known as "Recce",
was used to gather enemy information. Reconnaisse course had been
tough and fatal accident had happened since the case of 2SG Hu En
Huai had been brought up.
Training includes -
1) Recce Commander / Trooper Course (RCC / RTC), incl 60km march
within 24 hrs
2) Bike Course
3) Combat Survival Course
4) Combat Medic Course
Till now, the recce course had never been given a recognition.
At least in USA, recon troopers had "RECON" tab on their sleeve. In
Singapore, recce trooper were given "jungle hat" and nowadays
jungle hat is very common, almost all combat units are wearing
it, which makes no sense to give "jungle hat" to recce.
When will recce be given recognition?
