Hi, was curious abt seeing some TV channels showing USA, UK,
even Malaysia veteren/ retirees wearing military awards on civilian
clothes for gatherings of a military theme. It was stated
in one of the US websites that veterans and retirees are
encouraged to wear their awards and medals. Veterans don't need to
wear their medals only if they're in a parade. "Wear them when you
go play golf. Wear them when you go to the store. Let America know
that you took that oath and served."
Does MINDEF approve NSmen/ retirees wearing military awards on
civilian clothes for gatherings of a military theme
locally & in other foreign countries? If I am invited
for foreign military theme, should I approach MINDEF for
approval?
