On Reserve Holding List(RHL) =No NS Unit Yet =No Reservist?

Hi guys, I have this query which I hope you can fill me in.

I served as a supply assistant in my NS term, PES C1L1. I have ORD-ed 2 years ago, but until now I haven't got my NS unit, and currently schooling in university. Does that mean that I do not have to serve my reservist?

actually to be frank, I would like to go back once in a while for the fun of it... military life isn't bad!

Arrangement with Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL)

MINDEF has an existing arrangement with the three local universities (i.e. NUS, NTU and SMU) for undergraduate NSmen who are studying in these universities to be called up for ICT only during specific parts of the university vacations. In turn, the universities will ensure that no academic programmes are scheduled during this period. This arrangement is applicable to undergraduate NSmen in their first three years of studies.

Alert !!!

NSmen pursuing full-time tertiary education are NOT disrupted from NS. They can be called up for NS activities such as ICT, IPPT and mobilisation manning.

This sounds similar to my situation. I ORD-ed last year January and was posted to the holding list. Was an ASA aka computer-warrior before. A couple of months ago, I suddenly received call-up notification from 2 PDF, even though I didn't receive any email/letter whatsoever telling me I'm posted there. Deferred it cos the call-up was during my university term time (somewhere in October).

I'm 28 this year and I'm going for my FIRST in December.

Waited for 6 bloody long years when my friends halfway finished liao loh...
