Hi I am Pes C9L3 with L5S1 degenerate disc disease.
My unit is pending to send me to either thailand or taiwan for 1
year to serve as overseas storeman. Just done OPC at MMI and
Overseas FFI on Wednesday morning 20/10/10.
Not that I dun wan to go, but I have trouble with stay in.
1. I have severe nocturnal bruxism, and my night guard for only
through Tekong full 4months BMT have been grinded with holes
already. This is worsen through constant fear and stress of
turnouts, fire drills and especially my night march for WPC in BMT.
I can be awoken by sergeant opening door or slight noises, which
only happen in camp.
2. Due to degenerate disc disease, I am sleeping on a more
form-fitting mattress now, which reduces the tendency of me waking
up in the morning with numb lower limbs. During my 4 months stay in
Tekong, the fear of the need to act fast during turnouts has made
my sleep even more disturbed. I couldn't sleep with my muscles
fully relaxed and often wake up with neck sprains.
3. I still have medical follow ups with my KTPH orthopaedic
specialist for periodical MRI and physiotherapy review.
Is there any ways for me to get to stay put in Singapore as well
as to appeal for permanent stay out for the whole NS if I ever got
posted to stay-in camps after I have been vocationally trained as
storeman?
