Ok, so I have been receiving some queries lately on what to
expect for this matter. I will consolidate them on this
thread.
Q: Ive been given the CJI from my unit to attend the next
upcoming Recourse Batch. What should I bring along?
A: You bring along everything you were issued on the first day
of enlistment. Your Duffel Bag, FIield Pack and your No
4. And bring along any medical status slips which you may have
accumulated in your current unit.
Q: I have yet to receive the CJI despite being informed that im
supposed to attend the next recourse. What now?
A: You still have to attend. Contact your S1 or Chief Clerk for
the CJI.
Q: What happens if I fail my FFI?
A: You will be taken out of the upcoming batch and will be
reschduled to join the next recourse intake upon the expiry of your
FFI.
Q: What is the duration and conduct of the Recourse Batch? Will
there also be a confinement week?
A: Its the same as the 9weeks Leadership PES A/B Batch.
YES. THERE IS 2 WEEKS OF CONFINEMENT which you must go through
again.(though I understand that may change in the future, for
now, the confinement week still exist in the syllabus for
recoursees)
Q: What if Im on ATT C on the reporting day?
A: If its one day, you report to tekong the next day.
If its 2 days, you report to tekong after your 2 days att C. Any
more than that, you report back to your Originating Unit and
receive further instructions from your Cheif Clerk. But its likely
your unit will contact you to ask where you are if you fail to
report on time. Dont be a jackass and keep people guessing where
you are.
Q: Will I posted back to my unit after Recourse?
A: It depends. Most likely not.
Q: Will I get to enjoy POP?
A: No. Recoursees have no POP.
Q: Must I come with my parents?
A: No. There will not be any tour conducted for your parents.
Why are you even asking this question? But you can ask the registry
clerk to escort you to tekong if you like him alot.
Q: So where will I be posted to after my recourse?
A: If you are in the leadership recourse, you are
technically now command school eligible upon finishing the
course. But there are alot of factors that will determine your new
posting. So your guess is as good as mine.
