Medical Review: Eczema & Dusty Environment Allergy, How?

Hi, im newly posted to sungei gedong camp. however the dust here seriously jialat to the max. im being sent to MMI for a medical review, some sort of hazard test. and my mo told me the last resort they would do is to post me out if they cannot make any improvements to my camp working condition. im currently PES E9L9 serving as an ASA in the unit. how possible is it that they will post me out. and if they do, i heard they will then board me. will that be faster? and what would most likely be the verdict. i did a nuh test verifiying i am abt 90% allergic to dust.

do you know what camps are around first? its at lim chu kang. forest and cemetries all around. damn deep. plus there are renovations around. they are armor. so tend to get a lot of dust around. and i have serious eczema. my condition got aggravated by the condition in camp. so i was wondering if anyone have any idea what would MMI verdict be. like possible assumptions. : )

You should see specialists and get a doctor's letter to prove that you are indeed eczema related. Hope you will posted out asap.

lols. they wouldnt post me to MMI if i din get specialist letter. the problem is i have, the letter also indicated my situation got worse upon current posting.

Unless your letter to excuse you super good(from your own specialist not mmi), or else no use.

Worse come to worse, find your mp write letter.

Recommended to post out of sungei gedong camp.

However from what i know it is very difficult to post out unless your superiors help you.

Dun worry lah the MMI hazzard test test u how allergic ur skin is to dust.

If proven to be really allergic to dust u will get excuse dust and post out from the camp.

I lastime from this camp too.

I seen someone excused dust post out.

2 ppl with psychiatric reasons post out.

That is armour camp, and also happen to be armoured engineers camp, and also the place where alot of ahem ahem things are done.

So yes, its extremely dusty in hot dry weather, and extremely muddy in wet weather.

To stardust: oh i c, cause i already did this test with nuh, i still have the cert. so i wonder if that helps or maybe do away with the hazard test and they would give me my diagnosis immediately. any idea how long they would take to diagnose me and give me my results? and if they do say yes. board would follow what MMI says ultimately right?

To ditzy: yea, the camp is damn bad in terms condition. i hope MMI takes this into consideration in comparison with other camps.

If I am not wrong alot of camp bunk very dirty ,dusty one if u allergic to dust u can get excuse stay in temporarily.

In the army and bmt phrase are there any execrise that need to bend down de for prolong periods like those inversion execrise in the us army??? inverted sit ups ??

i am sorry for asking this bo liao question,..but i suffer from rocesa, skin condition whereby after 10-15 mins face will become very red...and stays that way for quite a while,somehow everytime it flare out , it become worst , now the redness is there permenantly

lols. guys i fought for stay out liao. but the thing is i cant tahan. the condition is still quite bad eh. even my bmt at the previous venue not tekong was better then what's here. the thing now is i wanna try post out with MMI. im curious about the chances.

Should be able to pls get a strongly worded memo from skin doc outside then see MMI doc with ur memo.

Hi. You can post out easily, provided you got the backing of your unit's OC, unit MO. They can help to write a memo or recommend you to be posted out. The MMI doctors/specialists will DEFINITELY be influenced by them.

Because now gedong camp the policy is fucked up, they will say unless it's life threatening or else lan lan suck thumb stuck there. MMI also won't so easily post people out unless they got specialist letter to die die specifically say MUST post you out.The hazard test most probably aren't gonna help you in your case, as maybe the most they give you excuse dust etc.

You can always find a private specialist for your case(private not govt). Why? Cos govt doctor scared blacklisted, they won't put excuse you post out or stay out in their memo. Of course private must pay, govt 11B cover.

Aiya, best is get MP write letter give to your oc, don't bother wasting your time going the medical excuse route. Got MP backing will make things easier and faster, if needed ask your father/mother call and complain also can, or send letter/email to mindef. I guarantee in less than 1 week you post out.
