Enlist Date Defer Affects Uni Placement: Call CMPB Directly?

Hi people,

currently I am to be enlisted on 2nd August 2010 under PES C9L3. But today I went to CMPB to update my new medical status because I'm under treatment for latent tuberculosis(TB).

The MO requested for a review in 5 more months to re-determine my PES. My PES now currently D due to the latent TB.

whereas my friend who got latent TB and told the MO, he was given PES E and already enlisted. I told the MO this, but he say he got no idea about it. So how come both same situation, he is already given a temporary PES of E and enlisted? Any thing that I can do to go in sooner?

I don't wanna delay my enlistment because I already am accepted by a local uni to further my studies. And I heard from my friend saying that if u r still serving the army when the school starts, u will have to "leave" NS to finish your studies and then continue the remaining months u r left with to ORD. is this true?

Please, I need more input on this. I seriously don't wanna enlist so late as I dont wanna return to NS after my studies.

Yep, if you havent serve finish your NS by the time your uni is due to start you will need to disrupt, which is breaking off your NS, then serving again when you're done.

can someone provide me with more information on the disruption of NS for studies? I cant find the information on the NS website even after searching. thanks alot.appreciate all ur inputs

Ur frenz PES E temporary.

U by right is PES C9L3 but due to ur TB u r currently PES D( pending further medical review)

U will get ur PES status soon.

Disruption u need to go NS and get into ur unit and ask ur chief clerk.

Go unit is after ur BMT.

my PES status wouldnt be soon. it will be pushed back because i'm required to go for a medical review on 20th december 2010.

i don't wanna enter so late as i dont wanna disrupt (even if there's a disruption, i wouldnt need to serve so long after i finish uni)

What makes you think I've deferred 3 times? As a matter of fact, I've only deferred once for my tetiary studies.

TS, did you tell them before that you are under treatment for TB? Or because you "suddenly" found out that TB can downpes even more that's why you told them about it?
