If it's gonna cost SAF significantly, financially and
medically to call a soldier back, they would rather dun send
the SAF 100 to that particular soldier at all.
Medically- if a
soldier has a serious medical condition, and they die die call
him back to reservist. If anything happen to that person.
Somebody's head definitely gonna roll.
Financially-
Mindef gotta do MUP to that particular soldier, in view of loss of
income due to reservist. If it happens that the reservist's
income is high, it's gonna cost SAF a lot to call him back. After
all every unit has a budget alocatted to them annually or monthly.
They need to watch their budget also.
The point here is if TS you dun wanna go reservist, make
yourself a liability for your unit in order not to be called
up.
