I was a stay out personel too for medical conditions. From day one I posted into unit bully until ORD day.

I don't think it's all of the servicemen. There are more than one way to be able to come back home on a weekday other than staying out. Just that you don't know how only.

stay out is OVERRATED... I prefer stay in. Got bunk to sleep, free water, food, electricity etc. Need something need to be done outside, I would just go for illegal stay out lor. Sneak out at 6pm+ den back in at 7am. If you think this option is not feasible becoz of punishment, this is up to individual, how smart and daring he is.

Oh that's a possiblity. But I'm talking about out detail though. Doing official duties( despatch, etc) and going back home the day before to go straight to the destination the next day. Transportation claimable too. But combat soldiers rarely have the chance to do that.

Stay out is ok if u live close by. Like khatib camp and ur house is at yishun. Or jurong camp and u stay at boon lay. What about stay tampines and camp at sungei gedong? or stay jurong and have to be at SFT before 0715 to catch ferry to tekong? ZzzzZzzzZ in bunk better.
