i got injured once during my OCS training ....with a broken
nose..at 4am during a enemy fight out exercise....
there was no anaesthetic in tekong...and wait for 6am before
there is ferry to fetch me to changi hospital ....
i recovered and check with the army but was told this is a
voluntary service and prepared to be liable on high risks
exercise...unless my nose is totally broken ...then army will try
their best to secure compensation....all in all ..NS is not liable
for what could be repaired or saved....they have done their part
via hospital bills...
anyway...this aside...this should not daunt us from refraining
NS or abolish it....it is a must ...becos it is our motherland
regardless if there is a govt or not....
we cannot take peace for granted...
