ORD: IHL & Reservist ICT Deferment ?

Hi. I have since orded and will be retaking my O lvl next year 2010. I may have reservist on 2011 June. So if i made it to poly but received my letter before that, what shld i do? My unit wun know tt i am a IHL student since i haf not yet entered.

If you are called up for reservist, just get a letter from the poly to certify that you are a full time student and submit to defer the reservist.

but what if when i get the letter say during dec which is 6 mths b4, i haven even get my results yet. so if i happen to enter poly, i haven even enrol yet also. so cnt be considered a student. and even if i get the letter theres onli 2 mths left till june. enough time to defer??

Noone can ever confirm when their reservist will be unless you have some magical crystal ball that all of us don't.

Stop worrying about things so far into the future and concentrate on the present issues that you are going to face.

May I kindly know what is the issue of concern? It is perfectly alright to go back for reservist after taking your Private "O"-levels and before you receive your results.

Deferment should be done only after you have been accepted as a student of the polytechnic which you wish to enter.

He is someone who is constantly worrying about things that might not happen in future. He just doesn't feel at ease as long as theres even 1% chance of something happening to him. He was like this 2 yrs ago before he enlist and still the same 2 yrs after...

the earliest that you can know of your next ICT, is maybe one year before ... we can be even allow to vote to choose the date that we want (given two choices)..

Not sure whether its still the same practice now since thats not what i've heard from people i know and i haven't have my ICT call ups to bother.
