Just buy those el cheapo camera-less phones at 7 Eleven.
Seriously.
All you need in camp is a phone with SMS and voice call. You
want entertainment, bring along a little transistor radio or a good
paperback book.
You bring some high-end phone or whatever, and it gets stolen,
then too bad for you.
I remember having to stand-by bed at least twice during BMT
because some fella lost his handphone.....
My time, there was a theif in tekong who goes to other coy to
steal their stuff during lunch. End up all meal times 2 ppl had to
stay in coy and guard and all bunks had to be locked everytime we
leave it. We even had MPs around tekong for 1 or 2 days before they
found out the guy.
Most expensive item lost was an O2 phone i think.
