Every officer will get a sword , but best cadet get the a
different one according to my officer neighbour last time,
Commandos get a bayonet at the end of 1 year training but it is
ceremonial only after that must return to armoury
bayonet no big deal. even the infantry boys also have..boys are
what the officers call the men cos they are well, younger and the
officers feel they're looking after them like lil bros. the one
that commandos are given is the stiletto knife, which is NOT a
bayonet as per your subject header.
