thanks. help clean the sea mines?????NDU clear sea mines are shown the NDP today. COOL guys right!!

wonderamazement SG

i still remember that singaporean who was sent to green beret training in the US and suffered fractured ribs but made it through the end.

Lokey SG

haha how come nobody give inputs on ndu here?

What do you want to know about NDU?

Acidshuriken SG

What do you want to know about NDU?

i don't know anything about ndu except that it is misunderstood as poor cousin of cdo. seals is ndu in a way but it has more glamour to it thanks to hollywood. but with the new special ops set up and with second in command is ndu, ndu finally almost placed on same stage. :)

Lokey SG

ndu? huh? nothing much. MAN is more useful than CDO, Vocation wise also more useful then CDO.

basically, people who help to find bodies/bodies part when someone has drown/murdered in the sea, help to clean the sea mines, propellor. Anti-terroists. Go on-board a suspicious boat. Some unit also have land assault part.

[Their training is not for "Exercise", their professional specialisation is used for REAL work. NOT kidding]

their hobbies is running and swimming. dark tanned and muscular.

must know how to tie the knots and ropes very well.

at the end when ORD, can convert to diving instructor or commerial diver.

get to travel overseas (depends on sub-vocations). has combat and diving allowance.

boss wise, humm I heard their new boss is not so good.

VA? basical medical test to check if you are fit for diving.

Regulars are pretty friendly people.

marcteng SG

Lokey, can you help me ask with regard to what goes on during the VA for CDO?

I'm quite worried, not because I'm afraid of the challenges ahead, but because of my physical. I'm just almost-fit, some fats here and there. I wonder if my chances of going in will be greatly diminished?

I really hope I can get into commando bmt.

why not u sign on to be commando?

Sorry to disappoint you, Gedanken. I am the guy who do the VA for the NDU. And to support chamber dive. [notice I use "their", "they" and not "we", "I"]

Sea mines <-- yah. The round round thing that can give a ship a big hole.

A little clarification was simply needed for the benfit of those who don't know you.

At this point in time, there's very little you could do that would fall beneath my expectations of you, so I wouldn't be too concerned about disappointing me.

lol. didn't know we placed sea mines out there in peace time. but cleaning sea mines is not a job for most ppl

Lokey SG

That day when I met this NSF NDU guy. I am quite surprised to know that they are still treated like shit after they have completed their vocational training. I was totally stunned.

Scania SG

Crazy, even Armour seems to be a better choice than CDO or NDU. Be a man, do the right thing.

This is a totally different feeling from what I have when I ord. I acutally felt gulity leaving my boss alone. And even volunteer to go back to help while clearing my leave. I actually spend alot of time beyond office hours to ensure my passing over is smooth. I actually went back to camp during open house in the following few years. I am also feel quite happy that things that I have made and do, is still present and valid after 7 years since I ORD!!!??

Scania SG

heard that once you enter CDO, it's tough to get into OCS. True?

As long as you do well in CDO, you would stand a chance of going to OCS to be trained as a Commando Officer, but it is still best to be a man.

limywv SG

Forbiddensinner SG

heard that once you enter CDO, it's tough to get into OCS. True?

The reason why some people think so, is because all those entered CDO BMT are supposingly the best of all the recruits.

Hence, for you to enter OCS, you must be the "best among the best".

Lokey SG

I prefer 8 to 5. At night I can do something else. Sat and Sun something else, no duties.
