ORD: PES Review Status?

geassuser SG

Hi. Im temp e9L9. Is it possible not to go for the MED review and just ORD with a temp status. In my unit, they dont call us up for med review. Neither do we have to book them. But im wondering what MINDEF would do if its expired for too long. Anyone has ORDed with a temp status?

tarutaru SG

No, you cannot escape. In case you don't know now all the MB is BIA, so even you don't turn up, they can just give you a B perm

stellazio SG

before ur ord there is a ffi what..

geassuser SG

so i can wait until then? Because my medical centre has not called me up and there is no booking in my unit. So can i wait till b4 i ORD?

stellazio SG

yar u can..

Worst to worst you'll probably still have to return to MMI or Nee soon camp after you ORD to follow up on your PES status.

SAF being mainly a conscript military is full of red tape, the amount of red tape can circumnavigate the world like what? 3 times?

So accept this fact and try your best to get it done before you ORD and save yourself the trouble. When the time comes, they have to release you, period.

Sidenote, I didn't have enough service time left to clear my range, I missed my window due to the atrocious amount of duties I have, but then again what the heck.

act blur (teh gong)...

when u ORD?

becos 1 or 2 months before u ORD, u need to have a FFI for ORD... need to draw blood to test for HIV screening, then got dental checkup at ur nearest saf dental centre around ur camp, then finally go to the camp medical centre see doctor...

BrUtUs SG

u still will hv FFI so prob they will realise it then then do a review 4 u...

tarutaru SG

anyway to TS, if u wanna keng go all the way lah why u wanna get temp status....

i went to see mo today. He looked at my spec letter and gave me a excuse lower limb and ippt for 3 months. My Specialist wrote to excse me for 3 months for IPPT. But what he intended was to get the mo to extend it by 3 months. He also wrote that i will be going for a bone scan in he letter. So now the MO wants to see the bone scan. But the Mo told me that it will be temp until i give him my bone scan results. As I said earlier, in my unit they dont call ppl up for review. So, as long as i dont give him the bone scan, it will be temp. But the problem now lies with AMD (air manpower division) From wat i heard from my other clerk fren in my office, AMD will keep chasing his section to ask me to renew my status. But ive already faxed over the MC from the MO to AMD. So i dont know wats gonna happen now. Btw, the temp E9 L9 status was given by CMPB b4 enlistment.

simi si this BIA? is it true that ALL MB dun have to turn up in person?

Patiepie SG

U can request to be presence if you want. Normally only border line case needs to be presence. If the MO is confident he can "win" the recommended pes status, he will ask u not to be presence.

Hanagata SG

E9L9? as good as ROD loh

Jayakanthl SG

Hi. So I would like to know if an officer can tell the MO to give an NSF a perm status?

ord FFI u sure cant escape.

even u MC till ord date they still ask u go back medical review at medical centre if medical condition very confusing so SAF MMI see doc.

but no worries even if u uppes to pes B or C .

reservist vocation wont change mostl likely at most driver transport supply storeman technician storeman asa clerk.

best get perm status with strong supporting documents.

but gt a dirctive say if u reservist still temp status wont called back for ICT at most medical review.

There are lapse of the this temp status, but seldom occur usually due to unforseen circumstances, in fact abt 1-2 months before your temp status expired, your clerk or the medical centre should arrange you for a medical review, then you'll be boarded again to determine whether should they extend your current status or give you a perm status.
