Charge: Default IPPT/ RT ? Fine $/ SOL/ DB? How?

Hi all,

I am currently going through RT and I failed my phase 1 IPPT.

Phase 2 clashes with my exams in uni, so I went and ask the encik in-charge at maju fcc if it was possible to defer Phase 2 till after exams to concentrate on my exams.

I manage to defer it till 17/05/2009, however, now I recevie a letter that says that I am being charged for defaulting RT.

I went to ns.sg and check, i realise that maju fcc did help me change to start my phase 2 on the 17/05/2009.

From my understanding, since the above took place, i am not defaulting, just putting it off to concentrate on my exams first and would return to complete it upon the end of exams. I went through the proper channels and notify those i think need to be notified.

So why am i still charged? I called the mindef hotline, and i am told to wait for a reply, but the feeling of being charged does not feel that nice since i don't think i did anything wrong.

print out the relevant document and wait. If they call you up for the charge, throw the document a them. protect yourself first.

People cock up, stuff happens, part of life. just wait for them to clear up.

Thank you for the reference.

I have read through it and found that its indeed not wise to just base everything on a phone call.

I cannot blame Maju FCC because from the ns portal I realise they have done their job in defering me for a period.

However, like in the reference you quoted me, phone calls from them are indeed not the best way to work things even though it is recorded.

I am now told to wait for 3 working days, hopefully all turns out well.

In case if there is no phone call, what kind of actions should I take?

Call and call again?

it depends on how yer commanders in camp can fight for their men...

so far i was charged becUSE OF MEDICAL REASONS NOT UPDATED.

FROM THE WAY THEY REASON...I THINK THEY WANT ME TO COME TELL THEM WITH A MISSING ARM OR LEG. STILL GOT CHARGED.

I TRIED REASONING WITH HIM MY WERK WHICH IS SO HECTIC...MY FAMILY WHICH IS FULLA PROBLEMS...AND MY SERIOUS MEDICAL CONDITION DUE TO OVERWERK.IT WAS TOTALLY LIKE AS IF I WAS TALKING TO A BRICK WALL WITH A WOODEN STICK COMING OUT OF IT.

IT WASNT EVEN A FAIR DEAL........I WAS SO SHAKEN BY THAT SUMMON THAT I EVEN LOST MY MILITARY IDENTITY CARD ON WAY TO SOME FAR AWAY CAMP FROM WERK .

IT JUST DEPENDS ON YER UNIT RESERVIST JDT OFFICER OR WHAT THE HECK THEY CALL IT.
