I'm sure a lot of aspiring kengsters would thank you for your
tip there.
And yes, he's probably quite fit too, I've met SAFSA squash
players who's C1L1 (excused upper limb), and frigging track and
field athletes who's excused lower limb (chap was OOC'ed from
SISPEC too, ironically, before going onto SAFSA !)
But you missed my point. My point is, during pre-enlistment,
you'd be asked to declare any existing medical condition, no ? Does
he mean to say he got posted to normal BMT, and THEN onto SISPEC,
where he "almost" won the silver bayonet, and then even got posted
next onto an unsuitable vocation, inspite of his declared medical
condition ? Belieavable ? you tell me ...... Or he's one of those
sort who "discovers" a lot of latent medical condition during NS,
even more curiously in his case, after he went through "a lot of
chiong sua shit ? Why the sudden noise and concern now ?
or is he one of those fellows who had visions of wearing three
stripes and knocking people down, or wearing kit kats and getting
the sword during NS, and so failed to declare his condition, and
then discovered that NS is not quite what he'd imagined it would be
? .... In that case, whose fault is it ? Imagine if some shit
happens to the fellow ... who takes the blame ? who's really at
fault ?
All that is idle maundering on my part of course ...
unfortunately, I spent today at sea, so here I am, pissing people
off on a quite indoors saturday evening on the net ...
But make no bones about it, I dislike intensely people who try
to keng and worm their way through their service, because of the
burden these farkers are placing onto other people who had to put
in their 2.5 years and do their time, just like you and me.
Fatum - I've been away from this forum for a damn long time, not
that I haven't been viewing the topics. I've just been too lazy to
post anything.
However, I think this thread deserves some a post from me due to
the many perceived conceptions I see here.
Epilepsy is not always a condition one can get at birth. You can
get it anytime, 20, 30, 40 years old. You won't know. It is
entirely possible that this chap actually was struck by this
condition only during SISPEC. I am not saying that this is
what occurred, just offering an alternative view from a
medical perspective.
Also Fatum, the part about outfield, if his condition is not
totally controlled yet, then what he says is justified. I do not
for an instance believe medics will be able to handle an epileptic
having an attack in the field, let alone in an office.
During a seizure / fit he will need a MO's attention ASAP
(depending on what kind of seizure it is too).
TS: What medication are you on right now?
