Guys I was wondering. Let's say if someone takes up the JPSAF
Air force scholarship and becomes a senior technician after
graduating. Is it possible for the individual to covert from that
vocation to a pilot vocation after the first contract expires?
Technically, while you are holding in Air Force School upon
graduation from your poly but before enlistment into BMT, you can
actually convert to a pilot contract without serving as a senior
technician provided you fulfill all the criterias below:
- Pass your medica
- Pass your COMPASS test
- Pass your pilot interview
- Perform well enough in BMT to qualify for OCS
You have to ask Air Force Recruitment Centre or Air Manpower
Department about it. Take note though, they like to tell you things
you like to hear but there are some things which they do not tell
you and you might be in for a nasty shock when you find out about
it.
