I had a medical appointment today at the sports medical centre
in CGH, referral by a polyclinic's General Practitioner.
I presented by 11b after the consultation and was not charged
for anything. However the nurse told me that either I won't be
charged for anything, or they will deduct from my pay. Anybody
knows how the claims system works?
My friend had a similar problem too before, he had gone to see a
doctor to get a letter for his foot problem. Initially he didnt
have to pay a single cent, thinking that he was covered by his 11b.
However when the next month's payslip came in, he discovered that
his pay was deducted.
He then proceeded to call PCS and they informed him that "first
time consultations are not covered" and that was why his pay was
deducted.
Can anybody maybe shine some light on the issue please? thank
