Singapore Food Industries Limited
Singapore Food Industries Limited (SFI) was
incorporated in 1973 and has since grown to become a leading
integrated food company in Singapore. SFI has evolved with the
changing needs of the SAF, beginning with the supply of fresh
rations to SAF cookhouses. In 1986, the company also took on the
additional role of catering chilled cooked food to SAF cookhouses.
In 1997, SFI took over the responsibility of providing freshly
cooked meals on-site to SAF cookhouses when cookhouse operations
were commercialised. Besides supporting SAF units locally, SFI has
also built up her capabilities to support SAF’s overseas exercises
and camps. The company has invested extensively in R&D to
develop new recipes and improve food quality for the SAF. With her
well-established world wide sourcing network, SFI is fully
committed to provide uninterrupted support to SAF in all aspects of
catering requirements.
SATS 's purchase is a sure win - SFI guarantee profit becos
when soldiers doesn't eat their meals... all still (FORCED) have to
go down to the cook house to throw those chips into the makan box.
I heard each chip allows SFI to charge Mindef $5.50 (not sure). So
SFI is a sure win Food company.
