Thats wat i heard as well . i was from 40th bslc now in SI. My poor former delta mates have to go thru nutcracker again in ASLC despite doing it in bslc haha.

sir sickolot SG

Going thru Nutcracker twice is quite a depressing experience. hahaha.. lucky for me i had to only go thru it once. and once is one too many. hahaha
although i do know of some ocs crossovers who had to do ex nutcracker in BSLC... but when they crossed over had to do ex spade. haahha

Nutcracker is a trench digging defence exercise. Very fun.

Lucky now BSLC no more nutcracker. Change to FIBUA. So shiok.

Hi guys, just registered with the forums here. Just passed my ORD last month. I was an armour specialist, went to India for my overseas stint. For all those new guys posted to SISPEC, u guys got it good. Its no more in Tekong! I had to spend 6 months in dreaded Tekong, not forgetting Exercise Nutcracker.
I was the last batch to spend my trainee days in Tekong. I was formerly from SISPEC Echo. Didn't forget the crazy training with my commando PC and OC and the 32km FBO Route March.

Anyway i wish all of you guys still serving NS all the best and have a fruitful experience in the army. Smile

Since now Sispec is in the new PLC, y not they have a combined Graduation parade for all trainees, i.e. all trainees from aslc, aisl, medic spec 2, engineer, etc….return to PLC to get their 3sg rank in their number 1?

Vince Disel SG

Thats what i am thinking! Smile But the courses don't end on the same date so we can't have a specialist POP Smile Sad Confused Armour specalist course is 1 of the longest, 4 months!!! It took me 7 months to become a 3rd sgt, just 2 months lesser than an officer. WTH.....

Another thing is we don't pass out in no.1 in our POP, its kinda sad....
If they could issue a no.1 dress for specalist's POP, it would be great. Still, OCS is given priority, but my choice would still be a specialist.

no more nutcracker?!? no defence ex? Shocked

norm SG

There may be new module on how to dig for sand, and build casino IR.

Vince Disel SG

Then what will happen to BMTC? Lol.

Thru' Thick N Thin SG

I went thru the same thing as u so i can understand.
However if the OCS can plan it, why cant Sispec do the same thing too.
Its all abt whether the WOs in Sispec want or dun want.
Only then we can said with Pride we Lead.

sir sickolot II SG

I actually agree with you. a COmbined Parade for that particular batch of SISPEC BSLC trainees.. no matter which formation you were posted to.. as long as you're a cbt sgt... like after the longest course ( AI right?)... all of that batch from the same BSLC will return to PLC to don on the new ranks. It should be different from OCS... it should be in Camo 4... a mark of the Specs as ground work specs.

btw..Hey Vince Disel.. are you from 35th? Mar-Jun 05? haha...
was there when cdo OC was around. HUA!
