Stand To: When in the field, it is done during first & last
light to prepare for eventual assault from the enemy. everyone on
alert, everything packed, mag, grenade ready and observing the
assigned arc of fire. Once stand down, nnormal routine will take
place. In camp it is a status where soldiers are assigned to man
key installations or route of advance due to enemy incursions or
eventual enemy assault.
