fudgester is right. u choose how u want to spend the 2 years in
ns. the only complaint i had in ns was that my camp was too far at
changi while i stayed in yishun. but that changed when i
started driving to camp.
ns isnt pointless. u will acquire life experience and learn how
to deal with different kind of people. i believe that everyone ord
a changed peson, be it for better or for worse. 1 thing that doesnt
make it pointless is that u learn how to appreciate the peace and
how to defend the country too. u can say u dont like sg and all
sorts of nonsense. by all means, leave and be a citizen of another
country. but dont come complaining to us that u will leave
eventually bla bla bla. wait till u have the means to leave for
good. if not, u r just another random person on the street who
bitches too much abt ns.
