hi ppl, i seriously need all the guys hlp, i was wondering if i could take my degree first for about 2yrs before enlisting to army, i'm 18 this yr, jus got graduated from MDIS and would lke to futher my study...any hlp and advise would be great..thank you so much in advance..cheers

dont think u can defer anymore. my friend told me people who want to go uni scared go army. cause anything wrong u do inside kena charge, u cant enter uni. so u better take care of urself in army. dont do anything stupid. just Serve And Fug off.

nope you can't do that. I think there was a similar case in today's or yesterday's papers. This kid decided to matric immediately after his A-levels. Now he's being forced to enlist just before his exam. Request for deferment was rejected.

Right now the official stand is that deferment for studies is only allowed up till the A-Level standard. Anything other than that, you have to clear your NS first.

MINDEF's stance is very clear on this; you need to clear NS first before you can matriculate.

And if I may ask.... why do you want to clear your degree first?

cannot. unless u go overseas when u were younger and your parents pay the 65k or 75k bond, forget which is the exact amount.

private edu no chance la.. if u were away when u r 15 or so at least still can pay more bond to study overseas... jz guaiguai go serve 1st...

wtf family problem u have that requires u to take ur degree now? will it be solved once u finish your course? or you need some time to settle your family problem? dont be a wuss and migrate lah, just serve your 2 yrs.

hahaha, damn i ever thought of changing sex man, but it was a random thought lol..well yea i hve de minimum requirement to take a degree there, well my mum's a foreigner so if i migrate now will i hve a better chance to migrate??

seriously can you just serve your ns? i am also 18 and going in on sept 11 which is 30 days from now. Nothing to scared of , i am also a private student , i already plan to take my degree overseas after my ns. Come on dude , time to be a man , dun throw year 1990 face man.

resentment u really suay sia, honesly i dun mind goin ns early if my family situation improve, but nw since hvin tis porb i rather go overseas, nt i tryin to be ahqua or wad but i jus dun knw wad to do nw, well i'll try callin cmpb 2moro whether they agree a nt i will post it back here...thx guys for everything :)

unless u medical/dentistry at nus, then can disrupt...

just fcuking enlist, after bmt, after vocation course, only when post to unit, can apply for approval from unit manpower branch to grant time off for night time part time studies for stay in.

if u stay out, just go for classes. but if got duties or whatsoever, ns comes 1st... if suay suay got outfield for days and ur exam clashes... then jolly well ask officer can or not, but reminder... ns duties comes 1st when u r a NSF...

hey red nano, can i migrate instead of runnin to other country..if i run away tad would make me a fugitive and a illegal immigrant, wads more i wont hve a citizen here and which ever country i'm in...if i migrate at least gt one citizenship still can find a job n stuff..if nt i go there lke no use lei...hw man can i migrate nw? am i too late?
