singapore guys are a sad lot..at the height of their teenage
years, they are being called up to take up arms and "serve" their
motherland which of cuz does not belong to their mother.
after 2 years, these guys struggle back to school.some can no
longer study and decided to enter the workin force.granted that NS
can be disrupted for studies,it is still a hassle to go through all
that.
also,since guys have been exploited for the 2 years, it will
only be proper that should they want to go back to studies, the
govt should have some kinds of grants for them but our wealthy and
generous govt will hear none of grants n such.
many guys also feel that the gals frm their batch also has gone
on much further then them..y is it tat after giving to the nation,
we tends to suffer?and its not just the 2 years thats all..guys
also have to go back to this reservst that dun serve much purpose
for the next 10 years and 3 years after that as a stand by. a total
of 15years.hw many 15years does a person have to waste?
NS is truly redundant and should be revised by appropriate
authorities. which of course is not possible as we lack truly able
men up there.
