Long Term Cheaper Accommodation in Surfers' Paradise

Hi,
My daughter and her friend will be studying in Gold Coast, Australia for a period of 3 years from Jan 2017. They are sourcing for cheaper accommodation with private toilet in close vicinity of Surfers’ Paradise for these 3 years. Can the monthly rental be not more than S$600 per month? Is it possible?

and dont mind longer travelling time to sch

last time in adelaide around 2000 to 2006
my weekly rental was AUD140 X 1.3 = S$180 per week
S$180 X 4 = around S$720 per month

but that was adelaide and 10 years ago

i hope staying near surfers’ paradise actually means staying near her school

usually university's notice boards will hv many such advertisements

nowadays should have online platforms to search for housing too
like house guru in singapore
