OCTs are taken mainly from leadership batches in Tekong.
Occasionally, they will pick 1 or 2 from the police direct intake
guys (but dun bet on it).
Majority of NS senior officers (equivalent of an army officers)
will be post to do staff duty after commissioning.
No, u dun need a degree to get selected. Majority of the OCTs
are just diploma or Alevel grads but unfortunately they cannot sign
on police as a senior officer. Strange as it seems, regular senior
officers in the SPF must have a degree unless he or she was
promoted from the junior officer's rank.
To side track, i came to know a SAF Ns officer signing on police
as a SGT because he is a diploma holder. I saluted him for his love
for police work.
