military gear includes all the standard field pack items tat we
pack in BMT ?
All the items, yes, but no need to be that strict anymore
unless you're doing standby. (Yes, the latter can happen during
ICT.) Reservist, what; just use common sense, lah. If you've lost
something, try borrowing from your sibling or relative or friend or
work colleague first.
Each unit has its discipline standard, so put aside neatly
at home the stuff you decide not to bring - in case
you're allowed to book out on the 1st night (&
replenish). Or else buy from the emart.
BTW Your CQ will issue 'perishables' like toilet rolls, talcum
powder, kiwi polish, insect repellent, unless the SAF
has changed the system. Pens, chinagraphs & notebooks too,
if you nag hard enough. Ditto groundsheets, ponchos &
shoebrushes, though I understand these are not standard for every
unit.
