to be honest...when they activate, it is always for ops reasons,
to ensure reaction time. Money and budget is outta their
equation.
Its not true that high-salaried pple dun get recalled either, my
unit, just like any other has drivers and vehicle-commanders, even
clerks who're SIA pilots, lawyers, top engineers....its really no
big deal for MINDEF....my unit mates get recalled every ICT, every
time.
The rumour of SAF not recalling such pple is because some of these
pple defer for overseas work, etc. and pple get the idea that such
pple are excused....totally not true.
So what makes u think because they spend a few million, they can't
recall more?
MINDEF budget much more than u think lar...its never a problem.
