Depends. If operational life, no thanks. If follow next mono
intake for their BMT & trade course, sure. (If I'm waiting for
the NUS semester.)
I did the latter during my extra half year of NS, although it was
quite tiring for the first 3 months (follow their timetable, &
no nights off). But, with the off-in-lieus you can tally up, along
with the accumulated entitled leave, you can probably go on block
sabbatial for the last 3-4 weeks (& paid the $2k along the way
too). Little chance of them calling you back to do COS or guard
commander either, once the new-batch NCOs are posted in & hence
available for the shifts.
