I got a dental appointment to see a dentist there through
referral from polyclinic. The wait was 3 months long!
On the appointment day, I waited about half an hour before I got
to see a junior dentist.
He took 45 mins to treat me and I spent 40 mins waiting for his
senior to confirm his observation and recommendation. The senior
only saw me for 5mins!!When I got home, the filling that the junior
dentist did for me dropped out and there was an ache which I had to
bear the whole night until the next day when I walked in and
insisted I saw the dentist to rectify the pain. I
learnt that if this is the kind of skill NDC offers, I would have
been better off at KTPH or a private dental clinic around my
neighbourhood. The price of treatment was subsidized this
round but if I were to compare private rates at NDC and private
clinic, its on par. Why would
anyone want to go to NDC ? The wait was long, treatment
not good, the senior dentists so unavailable and seem to be so few
as I had to wait 40mins for one.
The most unacceptable thing was that I had to
take another day off to return for the work to be redone !! I heard
while waiting at the waiting area that there was a patient who had
fever and bad ache after a day surgery done the day before and she
had to be seen as an emergency case at A&E to stop the bleeding
the night before. She returned the same day as me to get the op
wound redone as well !!!!My goodness...with such high percentage of
redo rates, who would recommend any friend to go to NDC ?
