i had a rather interesting experience as a trainee. We ere doing
route march and with us was a safety officer from formation HQ, who
was a retired officer. So anyway, the platoon was marching past
some chalets.. and the people inside walked out to see ( i'm sure
anyone would if a platoon of green men were to walk by yr
chalet)...
And they shouted " ORD LO!" ( now to us poor sods doing route
march, it was quite a spirit dampening)
But the safety officer, not missing a beat, shouted back " ROD
LO!"
now that was funnie
