The important thing about leather boots is to dry them properly
after going outfield. If you forget to stuff them with
newspapers/change newspapers regularly, the leather will harden
when it dries and moss may grow on the leather. I remember my buddy
got cut at his ankles by wearing leather boots when we went on road
march after outfield.
