Does punished together to do pushups really bond the whole platoon or company?

Punishment only bond the whole platoon against the 'sabo king'. It has the wrong values. How can everyone else be punished for the mistakes another person made ?

If it is not in the form of punishment but training together, then it is a good bonding session.

For exampe :

Instructor : "Last man there boot lace not tied. Down ! ....... "
or
Instructor : "Let's do 10 more push-ups to train up. Let's go ! Down ......"

punishment dont bond people....and there's hardly any bonds in training schools

it's when men , specialist and officers suffer together that form the bond.

having gone thru countless battlion exercises + 3 overseas training + 6 years of reservist (and counting)....this is what i call bonding Mr. Green
