mhcampboy SG · 2007-12-08T00:08:01+00:00

seems like an easy task. But when you look at the internal reshuffle, you will blur until eyes pop out (even each airbase HQ will spilt into 2! APGC and ACC!...

mhcampboy SG

What unit is that?

Asking for a friend.

Razz Razz

Thanks... Laughing

^tamago^ SG

dun tell me it's another change to the HQ S&T structure once again. Neutral

dkcx SG

S&T have already split into S and T, 2 separate formations already and are no longer 1.

mhcampboy SG

har? wad unit is tat anyway?

LazerLordz SG

It's either supply or transport BN. I'm guessing from the acronyms.

Geez, CSSCOM has more acronyms and letters than alphabet spaghetti soup. Mad

^tamago^ SG

me too. got S, yet got T as well. don't tell me they have some functions that can't seperate or something so they inaugrated this unit out? Laughing

2 GSTB: 2 General Supply & Transport Battalion. Based in Kranji Camp III.

Right or not? Smile

deathscythe99 SG

Shld be correct.

Haha...and this must be the name change after the CSS restructuring for HQ S&T. Laughing

Aiya...general has to earn star ma Razz

Taufiq SG

yeap..normally involved in signal store run (going around the island, fetching signal stores on 1206 and repairing them at base)

LazerLordz SG

What a mouthful.

There's Chief Supply Officer and Chief Transport Officer. So this is something that came out when they spent eons thinking how to name a unit eh... Laughing

When S & T formation been split into two formation? Neutral

chanjyj SG

You haven't hear the latest airforce news yet... now the airbases undergoing some massive decentralisation... base commander is now a RESERVIST role, and DY commander is a REGULAR role. Weird.

then now got APGC (Air Poer Generation Command), ACC (Air Combat Command), PC (Participation Command), blah blah.. Siao liao

Loooks like they trying to copy US and SAC.

LazerLordz SG

Not sure about the formation but the government directory showed

Chief Transport Officer COL LIM Sau Siong

Chief Supply Officer LTC TAN Peng Kuan

LazerLordz SG

Look at this

"But some of the interested countries are already well ahead of the United States in handling unmanned systems. Singapore already has a UAV command, something the Pentagon has not yet put together."

dkcx SG

It was split sometime in the beginning of this year or end of last. Wasn't really too long ago

chanjyj SG

I get your point, but you haven't seen how many commands they split into. 5, I think. I can get much more sensitive info, but for obvious reasons can't post here. And also, I can't be too interested-this is too "cheem" for me already

LazerLordz SG

Yeah 5. Anyway, no need to go beyond that lah. Laughing

deathscythe99 SG

Ahem...THAT's weird.

NS person more senior than the DY commander??? Rolling Eyes

caleb_chiang SG
