My time we used ' Old Balance' - black Kung Fu shoes with the thin sole.

Which of these shoes are better for flat footed people?

I am currently wearing New Balance but am suffereing from Shin Splints (pain in shin when running). I think I might be flat footed. I wonder if I should be wearing brooks instead?

most flat footed ppl wear new balance… But the ppl at CMPB got say when u go and measure ur boots size.. They got do the foot printing test. Should be in ur docklet when u go for medical checkup.. I flat footed,i wear new balance no problem for me..

Drat! I am wearing new balance but I still have pain.

Maybe its time to go get tested on a gait analysis machine.

I think inside the emart there is a big chart showing wat type of shoes you should get base on your foot, flat or normal.

Well... manufacturer state tat new balance is more for flat footed...
I m flat foot ... currently using new balance... I think is wonder ... I have no complain

New Balance.

However, during my NS, I got a pair of Air Max trainers with special flat-foot inserts for my weekly runs and PT.

Some of my mates bought Asics with extra sole support.

Arrgh - hate this thing. I am not even sure I am flatfooted and a look at the soles of my shoes suggest that I under-pronate IE I run/walk using the outer part of my foot to support my weight.

The problem is that I think I am flat footed and flat foots are supposed to over pronate.

Don't want to stump for an expensive sports shoe though. Stupid feet. Evil or Very Mad

I think the problem might be that the New Balance was designed to stop people over-pronating. I do not do that so the New Balance might be giving me problems.

Why don't you borrow the Brooks from your friends and give it a try first?

If you dont overpronate, then the NB is quite ineffective lah. Laughing

Ya - I am not in Singapore so I can't get hold of brooks now. Actually, even if I were in Singapore, I doubt anyone would want lend me their shoes. My feet have a certain reputation... Smile

Basically I am a cheapo - am going back to singapore in a while. i think I will buy a pair of brooks and see how things go. At $30 a pair, you can't go wrong! Laughing

i’m flat footed. my podiatrist told me brooks would be better for flat foot people but both are also fine.

I don’t see that both these shoes have contoured in-soles, unlike those sold in the shops. Suggest TS invests in a proper in-sole.

Last time, my BMT coy also don't care what u wear for PT. As long as you feel comfy.
