As far as i know its not allowed. Last time my camp we ordered Mc and for some stupid reason they didn’t have van, sent it by Taxi so we (for some reason its the 3SGs not the PTEs) had to go carry everything from guardroom to our block since they were not allowed in.

1. If the taxi is used as a private vehicle, i.e some ICT guy's car and not to fetch/send passengers.
2. If got LOA from comdr.

Most frequently is 1. 2 is sometimes, if you carry enough ball.

other than the taxi driver is going for reservist, otherwise it's case by case basis. generally the answer is no. i never really understand the reason why. maybe someone can enlighten us on this?

unless one is unable to walk (either visitor to the medical centre, or perm staff from the camp), if visitor, get the guardhouse CSM/RSM's approval and a RP will escort the taxi in. taxi driver and visitor must change pass.

if perm staff, get letter from CO.

I think generally cannot....I know maju camp cannot...MINDEF can only go until mid-hill...Seletar camp cannot(except the residential parts).

there was this indian cookhouse auntie from my camp. she come to work via taxi every morning around 5.30am.

she said they she was afraid of dogs and got the CO to write a letter saying the taxi can drive her in.

ok fine. fair enough she has the letter. but the annoying thing is that every morning when she come in by taxi, she will straight away tell the taxi driver to drive straight in without the taix driver changing for a pass.

when stopped by the gate IC, she will quickly take out the letter and make a lot of noise saying she has letter she can go in in taxi bah bah bah. sometimes it' very hard to explain things to civilians. Rolling Eyes
