Don't think so. In S'pore context, the civilian legal system
overrides the military one. As far as I know, the police has
finished its investigations, & the SAF its own BOI.
Subsequently, Teo has been -- in this order -- charged in the
Subordinate Court; sent for psychiatric exam; test results ruled as
unsuitable for bail; switched to the Community Court; & now
bumped up to the High Court.
Nothing insidious about the legal shuttling, cuz only the Supreme
Court (High Court) is empowered to hear criminal cases of Teo's
severity.
What I'm curious about is why his Geylang buddy's case hasn't been
heard yet. That one was bailable &, last heard, remains under
the Subordinate Court's jurisdiction.
