I remember my old camp as well as Khatib Camp used to have
coin-operated washing machines, except they were located in the
canteen & so must trek all the way there. Still, they were
popular with some spendthrifts.
For my first few ICTs, when we were subject to 8-9 day EXs for the
first time, my RQ had organized a laundry service too. He used to
rotate ferrying two sets of issued used uniforms every 3 days or so
for the outfield reservists, though I never found out who he did
business with, or whether our BN fund paid for the service. Same
thing happened in ROC, with the Temasek greens.
