HAHAHAHA! I nearly rolled off my chair laughing.
Ok, sorry, but it's not often I see something like you've
posted.
Guards are considered elite infrantrymen so they're less in numbers
than normal infantry. Even more elite guys are the commandos.
Guards do heli-rappelling. You know, throw a rope out of a copter
in midair and those guys disembark via the ropes. That should give
you an idea of their strike capabilities - rapid insertion into
battle.
Anyway, Guards is a combat vocation, means their primary combat
function. SAF combat troops can be Armour, Artillery, Infantry,
Commandos, Signallers, etc.
SISPEC is a learning institute in SAF. Stands for School of
Infantry Specialists.
Recruits go in BMT and they can be selected to become sergeants or
officers. Sergeants-to-be go to SISPEC and upon graduation, become
corporals and they go on for vocation training. After that, they
become sergeants (specialists).
Anyway how old are you? When are ya enlisting?
