coming frm that unit....
Chemical Biological Radiological Explovise.
Afew regulars are crossed trained. Mainly WO's and Cpt's and abv.
Btw seldom people wear the basic EOD badge..... most wear the EOD badge haha.
Infact i've only see like 2 people wear the basic EOD badge.
Maybe because to basic liao even the piononeers dont wear it.

Anyway it's flimed at 39SCE but only because that's where the CBRD and EOD training center is.

Edit Surprised h and yes there are NSF with EOD badges, both specs and officers.

venny SG

nsf can get already ah. how long is the course?

|-|05| SG

The full course(the one which get's u the EOD badge) is a few weeks long.I think abt 4-8 weeks i'm not too sure. Only Spec and OCT's go for it.
And that's after a written selection test followed by a physical test and then an interview. after which a few are selected. U have to be frm SISPEC and passed BSLC.This course will then take the place of ASLC. In OCS it would be part of ur pro term.

Xcert SG

can I have it too?

Yeah......very true on the above...I've personally seen some patrolling inside the MRT, where a spot have chio gals......these *ahem...cough...cough...spuitter...sputter!!*.... special police will automatically station themselves nearby and look see...look see..

Dunno whether they see them chio gals as a threat or wayang to impress....hmmmm.... Confused

During the last IMF meet in Sg...I also came across some of the *cough...cough...sputter..sputter* special police yakking on their personal mobile phone...Now seriously.......how to observe incoming threat with such attitude.....some more in high profile Raffles Place MRT station!! Shocked

But I give credit to the initial badge that walk the MRT stations....They sure look serious in their assignments...[Wayang??? maybe so....hahahahah].

Wonder what the SPF Intelligence briefed their men on patrol .......... the likely profile of a terrorist is young chio bu with big bags, so must watch them closer.

Icemoon SG
