come to think of it, knowing singaporeans, even if it happens in
the day, a soldier in uniform walking around orchard road with a
rifle probably won't get much attention from the normal public. yes
he might attract a few stares but people will probably think he's
doing patrolling or something, speaking from a civilian's point of
view.
