Going to your Medical Officer is an entitlement. Your camp MO is
the one who decides if you are fit to continue training, not your
OC.
It is not up to your OC to deny you the right to report sick
in-camp. Have you and your mates raised this issue to your PC and
gotten him to try and solve this problem.Make sure you raise this
issue to your direct superiors like your PS and CSM too. I do not
believe that everyone will be crazy enough to deny soldiers' their
entitlement.
It is very strange for your OC to deny your basic entitlements as
found in the General Orders of MINDEF. However, so far it's one
side of the story. Was the attendance rate during field camp
terrible?
Anyway, if you are sick, get treated. I hope you guys know that
there is a differentiation between fair and tough training; and
ego-tripping training abuse. However, since you say that you have
already reported this to the MINDEF hotline, then you might just
have to wait and see.
Second-best course of action is to bring in lots of medication like
FEBS, Panadol etc when you next book-in.
